MMDS System Reports

MMDS offers a variety of reporting options to your Video On Demand Patient Education System that include System Reports, Charting Reports for Patients and Electronic Interfaces to ADT and Electronic Medical Records Systems.

HL7 Interface to ADT and EMR
For the ultimate in automation and documentation we offer an HL7 Interface to both ADT Systems and Electronic Medical Records.

The ADT interface allows us to keep up with both in-patients and out-patient activities.

As patients view programs the MMDS EMR Interface automatically updates the patient's Electronic Medical Record.  This saves staff valuable time since they don't have to Chart the results and improves accuracy.

These electronic interfaces also best meet Joint Commission requirements for providing education and documenting the results.

System Reports
System Reports provides feedback on overall system usage to include:

* Department
* Floor
* Group
* Title
* Patient or
* Educational category

This information can be used to measure overall system usage, determine areas for program content improvement, and identify departments that are not using the system to potential.

Reports can be run using the Reports Wizard to select the type of report and the date range needed.  Reports can be run for any historial period as the data is maintained in the system's storage.

Chart Update
Chart Updates are individual Patient Reports that print at the local printer at each Nurse's Station.  Each time a patient orders and views an educational program the MMDS System will print a single page report at the appropriate Nurse's Station.  The Nurse can then place the report in the patient's chart.

If MMDS is connected to your ADT system the report will print with the patient's information including their name, patient number, title watched, date and time it was watched.  The print-out includes space for the Nurse to make notes and record follow up information from the patient.

If the system is not connected to your ADT system the print-out will list the room number along with the title and date and time the program was watched and the Nurse can complete the balance of the information and add the report to the chart.
