MMDS or Medical Media Delivery System is Synergy Broadcast's Hospital Education Solution. MMDS is a patient clinic5-150x150 centered education solution designed to enhance the education experience for your patients and their families and save your nursing staff valuable time by enhancing their patient interactions with patient friendly video on demand education.

MMDS provides patient education as Video On Demand. This means patients and their families can take advantage of the system at any time, but most importantly when they are willing and able to learn. This improves retention and enhances their experience. MMDS does not replace discussions with the nursing staff or the doctor but is used to supplement their information. Family members benefit from MMDS by watching educational programs with the patient so they can follow up with the doctor or nurse with questions that will help the patient after discharge.

MMDS CONFIGURATIONS
MMDS is available in a variety of configurations and suitable for every facility from small renal and cancer clinics to large hospitals. MMDS systems are designed for the specific needs of each facility with an eye toward the future to avoid planned obsolescence. Popular configurations include:

4, 8 or 12 channels.
A customized Welcome or Information Channel.
A Digital Video Catalog to display titles on your cable system.
4 Line Voice Response System that includes both English and Spanish language prompts to guide patients through the simple process to view an educational program. Other languages can be added as needed.
Reporting capability that includes system reports on total usage, per patient documentation and optional interfaces for chart documentation at Nurse's Stations, as well as real-time updates to ADT and Electronic Medical Records.

MMDS offers five interface options:

Scheduling by an Administrator
Phone Interface for Patient or Staff access
Pillow Speaker access (requires a multi-button interactive Pillow Speaker)
Touch Screen Interface for Personal TV's
Computer interface using a wireless keyboard
Browser Interface for Staff PC's

The system has a Survey and Testing option to survey patients as well as test their comprehension of any video program they watch. Results can be sent to nursing for follow up and remedial attention if necessary.
