Lee County Schools

“I am really excited about this system and the forward compatibility capabilities it may provide. I really appreciate your time with this and am quite pleased with how well the VideoCourier’s are holding up. Along those lines, I would like to compliment your service department on their attention to us and being able to maintain our operations across the district at nearly 100% for the entire school year. We have been tracking usage of the Couriers to schools and classrooms and have documented significant increases in utilization over the past school year.”

K-12 District Wide Video Delivery

VideoCourier is a multi-site video delivery platform that provides K-12 School Districts with an IT friendly solution to centralize all video assets and distribute them in a timely fashion to a single school, a group of schools or all schools in your district. VideoCourier...

VideoCourier adds no hardware to the classroom.  A teacher can access all of the functions necessary from a web browser using their classroom PC.  This ensures that VideoCourier is easy to understand, simple to use, and needs no extra support efforts.

Importantly, VideoCourier is not a subscription model but a one-time purchase.  There are no on-going licensing or monthly fees.  Instead, VideoCourier can be maintained with reasonable annual maintenance fees that offer several levels of support so districts can select the options that make sense.

  • Maximize Your Infrastructure: VideoCourier can be used with both coax and IP networks and provide the same controls and ease of use for both teachers and IT personnel.

How VideoCourier Works

VideoCourier allows you to centralize your entire district's video assets into one secure location, organized and available to all users.Content is stored, archived and backed-up as needed to ensure that your assests are safe and secure. Each school is equipped with their own small video server and teachers us their web browser to search for content by keyword, title, category, grade level, subject, state curriculum standard or other identifier.

Teachers can request content be delivered to their school or curriculum administrators can "force or push" content out to schools in conjunction with lesson plans. Teachers access video content on their local school servers as "video on demand" so they can use when they need it.

Video is delivered to schools each night based on requests from teachers or lesson plan requirements so teachers have the content they need when it is needed. By utilizing "night time bandwidth" VideoCourier can move massive amounts of video to schools without any negative impact on network operations or mission critical applications.

VideoCourier is perfect for school districts that are making the transition from analog to digital and have schools that use coax cable systems for video as well as newer schools that are IP based only. This approach saves time and money while the district is in transition mode.

Teacher's like VideoCourier because it is simple to use and only requires a web browser. It does not matter if they have a TV in their classroom or a video projector, nor do they need to worry about what type of video to select. No format worries which greatly simplifies the teachers's situation.
